I recently got 2 kurtas from Noorkari Lucknow as a gift and I absolutely loved them. The fabric is soft, the fit is perfect, and the designs are classy yet comfortable. Highly recommend for quality ethnic wear!
The clothes looked good online, but when I visited the showroom and checked carefully, I found the material was torn in many places. Quite disappointing. The owner’s behavior is extremely unprofessional. Instead of allowing customers to properly check the products, she gives warnings. It’s surprising to see such a lack of courtesy and manners, especially from a shop located in Hazratganj, the heart of Lucknow
The staff in the boutique is polite and helpful, but the owner’s behavior is absolutely shocking — arrogant and completely unprofessional. Many kurtis had defects — colors faded, threads coming off, poor finishing. I purchased one kurti which had a clear defect. When I called and politely asked for a refund (barely an hour after purchase), the owner started shouting instead of listening. She flatly refused a refund, offered only a credit note, and insulted me by calling me “uneducated” when I mentioned I would write a review. Instead of personally visiting her store to check the defective stock, she hides behind CCTV as if that proves product quality. If she actually stepped into her own boutique, she would see how many defective kurtis are lying on the racks. This rude and arrogant behavior is not only unacceptable but also damaging to the reputation of Lucknow. Our city is known for its tehzeeb (respect and grace), but boutiques like this with insulting owners spoil the image of Lucknow in front of customers. Very disappointing experience — never returning here again.
While the store has a decent collection of chikankari work and the staff at the store was also nice, the delivery of the product has been super disappointing. I visited the store and liked a suit which was only available in size 42. I wanted it to be changed to size 36 and they took my measurements and said they would deliver it to me in Delhi. When the suit arrived almost 2 weeks later, they had just shipped the same size 42 and made no changes!! Now they are asking me to ship it back at my cost in exchange for their store credit. Why should I as a customer have to bear the cost of their incompetence and mistake? Absolutely terrible experience.
