Shakeel, the owner, could not have been more helpful. He explained the differences of all the fabrics and what actually makes a pashmina a pashmina. He also explained the prices, that are very good, and how to spot something that may not be as good as claimed, If you are in Varanasi I would highly recommend going, and if your not in Varanasi there is a website, though you'll miss out on Shakeels very useful knowledge

His knowledge and honesty were refreshing, and unlike many other shops, he never pressured me to buy—allowing me to take my time and make an informed choice. The owner is very unfriendly and has a very aggressive attitude, which makes you feel very uncomfortable. He was rude and had unprofessional offensive comments. The customers after us also ran away from there, which were also Western tourists seeking advice about silk and sarees, but the guy's attitude is not worth it.
